Myofascial Cupping is a technique used in Chinese Medicine as well as in many other traditional cultures, and has gained popularity in the West for relief of muscle pain and restrictions.

Instead of directing pressure down into or lengthwise across sore muscles as traditional massage would, cupping applies negative pressure (suction) to lift and release restricted tissues.

Varying degrees of suction may be applied based on the client's goals and tolerance, and cups are left in place for 3-5 minutes.  Cupping should never be painful.  Circular red or purple marks may appear on the skin after treatment, but are not considered bruises.  Speak to me if you'd like to know more!

Cupping is not appropriate on fragile, broken, or allergic skin, and with certain medical conditions.

A separate waiver is required before cupping.
